Love both of them. I am particularly impressed with the engineering for the bamboo roll bar.

Sometimes a visual strikes my funny bone so hard I laugh uncontrollably for minutes ... your two pictures did just that. Thanks for the laughs.

back in the '80s my daughter spent a lot of time with me at laguna during preseason cart testing.

later on she claimed she was gonna be a race car driver.

shoulda pushed her. she loved to go fast and is a fine driver. danica would have had some serious competition.

lots of new additions, and more coming, to my testing set.....

I love the "on the edge" maintenance picture. Reminds me of the day at a CanAm race at Brainerd when one team decided to change their oil. Pulled the plugs on the dry sump tank and the oil pan and let it all drain into the belly pan. They then took a come-along between the front of the car and an overhead tree branch and raised the front of the car to have the oil drain out the back and onto the ground. Can't recall if the same branch helped them with any engine changes.

Got to be the west coast. When I spent time at Riverside in the early 60s there were not any windmills.

You can read that flag stand?? WOW! good eyes. even with it zoomed 300% in my browser I cannot read it or barely even tell there are words on it.

You must have a low contrast monitor maybe??
