Yeah, Bernie forgot to tell the Koreans they were having a race. They were very surprised.

I remember the last time they raced in Mexico, the year Nige was cleaning up at the height of the active-suspension craze. In-cars from the right-left-right-leeeeeeeeft-rightleftrightleft in the back section were like out of a video game. Amazing course.

The course in no longer as you remember it. It has been "improved" by Mr. Tilke. Turn 4 is now a tight 90. Turns 5 and 6 are much tighter. There is now a short straight in place of the first two esses. The remaining esses are now much straighter. And of course, the entire Peraltada will not be used.

    That's a shame.

About 10yrs. ago, the ALMS had briefly scheduled a race there, along with some of the usual undercards, including Star Mazda! Bob K. and I said screw it, let's have a go. The whole race weekend of haulers was to assemble at the border in Laredo, TX with "security" escort. It was an 11hr drive just from there! The race disappeared quickly from the schedule. Would've been a helluva adventure.
