What is the minimum weight in Canada?
Found the FF weights
D.11.12. Weight
Minimum weight as qualified or raced, with driver: 1050 lbs. Original Ford Cortina Engine
1100 lbs. Uprated Ford Kent and Honda Fit Engines
Are the CF weights the same?
What about the Canadian rules?
Minimum Weights (less driver at end of race):
Pre 1972 Formula Ford ------------ 925#
Outboard Suspension Club Ford ----------------- 950#
1982 to 1992 Post Club Ford----------- 975#
CFF being a regional class, the weights may vary depending on who is running the race.
Here in GLDiv we abide by the FF weights as stated above, but MidWest Council out of the Chicago area has added weight for various upgrades like aluminum head and I think double adjustable shocks and things. When I looked at their rules last summer it appeared I would have to carry about 75 lbs. of ballast.
The Canadians have had different weights for their Pro and Master classes of driver. A couple of years ago the Ontario group's GCRs also were slightly different for inboard vs. outboard suspensions, again varying from what the FormulaTour1600 organizers specified for Montreal. I'm not sure they knew I was joking when I lamented losing my championship points for about 100# underweight with the Caldwell. If you're going up there bring some lead and adjust as necessary using their scales.
Caldwell D9B - Sold
Crossle' 30/32/45 Mongrel - Sold
RF94 Monoshock - here goes nothin'
In the NE we use the standard 1100 lbs with driver for a CF/Kent per the GCR.

Dave, You probably figured it out right. I ran Council for many years in CFF and the current deal is minimum weight at 1150#, add 25# each for an aluminum head, aluminum diff. and for remote reservoir shocks. I'm no midget but I carried 40# of ballast.
Pete Wood, former Crossle' 35F No. 42, of course
