Zanardi Update?

Has anyone heard anything about Zanardi's condition today? The last update I saw was last night after he got out of surgery, he was listed as critical. I got the impression from the news reports that his legs were severed during the crash rather than being amputated during surgery (one report mentioned an attempt to reattach them). Anyone know anyhting?

I heard conflicting stories about when the legs were amputated. The last story I heard was that the legs were severed 1 below the knee and one above the knee during the crash and that at the hosbital they were amputated more to where both were above the knee. I heard this from the team news

According to AP Zanardi lost both of his legs above the knee, he is currently in an induced coma.
