    Default Dizzy parts for BDA

I am looking for some new spares for a Cosworth BDA distributor such as a condenser, points, rotor button and so on.

Located on the east coast - does anyone know where I can get these?

    Thanks in advance,

    JeffW

Think you will have better luck with Ted or Wayne.

It's been decades since we ran points but aren't all those parts Austin mini Cooper S Lucas parts? Cooper S points had a stiffer spring.

Yes that's correct - its magnetic pick up. I misspoke - all I need for spares are the cap and rotor.

    Thanks,

90% of all British cars used the same set of Lucas points. There was a 'heavy' 16oz. spring point set available if you asked for it.

We had a Cooper S race car with a full BDA ignition. It had a Lucas magnetic pickup and "black box". I hated it because I didn't have a spare, so I snuck in a set of points and condenser mounted on a plate so I could slip them in quick if I needed to...

Just saw this. I have several new Cossie distributors at $200 each plus shipping.

    Email fattogatto@msn.com for details.

    Default Lucas?

Is this a Lucas distributor? If so, give me the part number (stamped on the side...will be a DBMZ or DMZ or such) and I should be able to cross reference for you...and see if I have any. We stock a large number of "old British" stuff.....
