    Default A word of warning

I bought this pedal set thinking it would be great value in a FV. Well it may not be. I never installed it on my car for several reasons.
First the pedals are super tall, and by super tall I mean extra long. In a reclined position my feet (size 11) would reach quite low on the foot pad.
Then the top of the pedals would interfere with the steering column. As well the set is not necessarily optimized for length, and with the master cylinders installed this pedal set ends up being quite long.
Last and that may not be an issue for all, it is quite heavy compared to the typical home made pedal sets you find in a FV. I bought the exact same part number and my set was made of steel (the pedals). The summit page lists both the mount and the pedals as aluminum, only the mount is aluminum. The pedals make most of the weight and are steel.

I thought I had made a good deal buying new from a local supplier who had a special on it. I ended up selling the set brand new never mounted.

This may work for other applications, but I've found it unpractical for a FV.

Thanks for the heads up on pedal height. Wilwood was my next idea.

Go to the Wilwood site for the dimensional data:

    http://www.wilwood.com/Images/PEDALS...410_dwg-lg.jpg

    cat page: http://www.wilwood.com/Pedals/PedalList.aspx

With a radius of 10.7 inches for the pedal, the tops would not be above my feet...

Not an endorsement, I'd fab my own to fit, but those look pretty decent for the price.

Your feet do not fit perpendicular to the floor, at least mine don't. They are probably at 60 degrees or less. My feet are almost 12" long with shoes, and certainly didn't line up with the pad. For reference the pedals in my 2 FVs are just over 8" tall.

    Obviously your experience may vary.

Tilton has a adjustable pedal. May work. I think all will need surgery.

I made my own box for a Formula 600 that I am building. I could Laser CNC another. PM me with some measurements. It is setup to use Wilwood masters.
