A copy of a Lola T-492, aluminum mono with steel rear sub. built in Milwaukee around 1979-80, total of 4 i think.
Any still around today?
There was a thread about this over on the S2000 site a while ago.

Worth it just to read the postings by Stephen Johnson
I was in the Mofoco warehouse a couple of years ago a saw one of the bodies hanging from the rafters. Its probably still there. The owner is the owner of Mofoco--a guy named Randy Henning. Mofoco is an old school VW shop that has a growing online parts catalog for air cooled VWs. Randy also owns Great Lakes Drag-a-way--our local drag strip. The story goes that a bunch of his mechanics were into road racing and he built a few cars so they could go racing. Randy is more of a chopper/Mopar/Drag VW guy. As the older guys left the shop the cars were shelved. They might still be back there. The shop is located on East side of Milwaukee. If you are interested give them a call--they are pretty cool people. If you hear anything or my info is inaccurate let me know--I'm a sucker for automotive archeology (especially with race cars)
