    Default Ld 200 gearbox oil

    Hi guy's,
Can anyone give me the oil type and quantity that is required in the LD 200 ?
I read somewhere that it is around 1 1/2 quarts of 75-90 GL-5..Is this correct ?
Are there 2 compartments.. one at the diff and one at the rear gear housing ? or does the main filler plug at the diff supply the whole box ?
    Thanks
    Tom

    Default LD200 oil

We have, since they were first introduced in the early 90's, to use one quart at a gear change and have used RedLine Shock Proof light since it's introduction. We have not seen any wear issues by using the amount recommended by Hewland as opposed to those who choose to add an extra 1/2 quart.

only one fill port is needed, it will eventually find its way.

Most people use redline lightweight. I use the heavy weight because it gave my box less "clash" and the gears seem to suffer almost no wear. To each his own.

    Default Oil level

The best place is to go to Hewland.com and download the LD200 manual.
