Whatever it is, it's OK with me... I like it!

Was thinking maybe a kit car from the back of a 61' National Geographic or Mechanics Illustrated, probably used the remnants of the family Rambler, LOL ........sporting John Weyer colors minus Gulf I suppose ..........
remember when they ran stuff like this along with 917's and 512's at LeMans, and you guys are worried about overtaking speed

Those pipes speak of a British 6 under the hood....
I have seen this car before. Perhaps it will return to my mind.

The back end is definitely influence by a 53 Corvette. Cool canyon racer.

I dunno guys, looking at the tail, it definatetly looks like a species, somone should be able to identify it (don't think Elva), should send Nick (sometimes pit crew) back and ask the owner, the first pix he sent had a for sale sign on it!!!! although the shoulder-helmet streamlining looks like it came off a vehicle at the 'Tech Parade', homecoming at Georgia Tech, (the engineers build whatever will move for the parade) ....... probably the only time they will see a torch or arc, but will specify such in the future
Alfa Romeo?
Roger
The proportions, wheels, rear fender, and rear wheel well cutout shape look a lot like a Mk II Spitfire. However, the exhaust was on the right side of a Spit, so if it's Spit based it either has a different engine or fake side pipes.
First glance Neil I was thinking Spit as well, going with that, wonder if the GT6 exhaust was on the left, someone got a new Plasma torch or torch period, the taillights look like custom race car or custom fiberglass (Lemans round), ........... thinking of custom, told this Corvette club guy that the new/now old corvette has two designs (Pinafarina would tell u that with upsetting passion I would imagine) rounded absolutely beautiful in the front, and GM performance square chop off in the back ....... I wanted to make a rounded back and cup the rear wheels, down in between rear wheels, picture the (AC Cobra rear wheel cupping) definately a high dollar car look ...... GM would say no trunk space .......... if planned correctly, might be only a couple of parts, but would have to be classy and not just an old effort such as Mako (mercy. don't bring that thing around, I'm outta here!!) ....
try and ask my friend Nick where this car is again, maybe some answers!!!

can sort of see the 'Guibla Spyder' Roger (spelling of course) pre-graduate version there, maybe 65-67 and earlier, that was a neat car in Roman Red, anyone have pictures
gt-6 exhaust is on the right side,,,, god i miss that car,,,, it is totally irrelevant that i could not get into or out of the car. only street car that i can remember that would pull redline in top gear
Triumphs are noisy but cool, always wanted to stop by a GT6 for a visit (own) but would have to have a stronger rear axle situation than a regular Spitfire, sure they do or it wouldn't work ......... good story .......
the more I look at it, the cooler it looks, gonna have to side with Brian, I like it!!!! Watch it, we're gonna find that it's the famous GX1 that at the last minute they threw Hobbs in for the 62' LeMans (LOL) finished well overall!!! Well there was a Walt Disney movie that was number one this past weekend!! Zagato, one off's ..... we'll get it!!

oh yea, the exhaust was a lotus elan stebro straight thru ,, made lovely sounds at 6k rpms ... loud as hell for anyone but a 20 year old
We shouldn't encourage the kids, if u put a Stebro on and u r going up the drink to NY for some reason, maybe a show or so, ur girfriend will not like the noise, maybe a Cadallac n Chauffeur may be in order!! .......... have asthmatic hearing LOL U HAVE to wear earplugs if u drive race cars!!!!!
any cops in the crowd? somebody could run the plate......
Are we all Cops in a way, protect your loved ones, I'm not doing anything, You want me to go after the guys they released?? Got my camping gear!! Jes need a plane ticket!!!
Ouch Rickh!!!, just exhaust noise, thought it was GeoPolitical!!!
It's a Alfa Romeo 750 Competizione.
Sweet, I want it.
Thanks ... Jay Novak

Must be a replica, this one is left hand drive all the Google images of the Alfa are right hand drive.
Paul
I thought it was, note the instruments, very Alfaish, left hand drive would be no mproblem to convert if not done at the factory.
