Where would you recommend to purchase a seat molding kit? Looking for the kind that you vacuum out.
Thanks
Nick

Nick, use the forum search function near the top of the page, search EIS seating for related threads... you want to go with EIS (pourable SFI 45.2 foam); it's all the rage and rightfully so, makes a beautiful piece, very easy to get it right first time... and making a bead seat sucks!

Bead seat is much better and safer.
It does take about 20 hours to make from start to finish.
You really need assistance only for 1 hour while vacuuming.
My two cents.
Pegasus sells bead seat kit and foam method kit as well.

If you're doing this for PFM and think you ever want to compete in the series, then heed rule 14.5.7.3. Materials (system) must only be high-density polystyrene beads and epoxy resin (vacuum cured).
We did my FE with a bald spot sports kit.

Bead foam is actually less safe than SFI 42.5 pour foam. Bead foam isn't allowed in some upper level pro racing including NASCAR.
SFI 42.5 pour foam also meets FIA standards and is fire resistant. It also has compression standards that bead foam will not pass.
SFI 42.5 is very easy to mold a perfect fitting seat every time.

I had to do several weeks worth of research recently so that we could build FIA Spec. Head Surrounds for the Phoenix FB cars.
In my research I did find test results for bead foam. Only reason I know as much as I do about the SFI 42.5 foam was thanks to the SFI Foundation in Poway California.

The two part marine foam is close to useless. It is only good for a cheap temporary seat.
The EiS FIA/SFI foam is the ticket.
The website has all the iinfo.
Www.motorsports-sw.com. I would also be happy to help on the phone.
