    Default 1981 ADL Magnum

    SOLD - Thanks ApexSpeed.

Son wants to stay in FC, so seeing what interest there is in my “need of assembly” 1981 ADL Magnum 81A (F/A). Car was crashed during an engine break- in (BDD has about 10 minutes on it, but has been sitting for some years now). Had it re-tubbed and major shear plates replaced. Have enough spare suspension parts to fix what was not replaced. About 15+ spare gear sets for the Hewland FT200. 10 rims/tires (two damaged in the crash), nose molds (2), noses, etc., etc..

Looking for $18K US, obo. Might be willing to split out the Hewland and/or the Cossie. Car/parts are located in Calgary Alberta Canada. Will take more pics over the next week or so, as I dig through my garage. Have origin ADL correspondence with the initial owner (letters) and log book

Before, After, current photos posted below.

I fwd'd this to a potential buyer but haven't heard back from him.
Do you know who built the BDD?

    Thanks

    Default ft-200

Are you willing to split with the ft-200 and if so how much?

    Default Spliting

Have a couple of people interested in the whole package. If these do not pan out, then yes, will entertain splitting up the pieces.

Just a word to the seller, if you have a nice FT200 gearbox it is probably worth more than your asking price for your entire package. I looked for two years for a used FT200 and only found a couple with welded cases and they wanted 20k each!

    Default New FT's

Scotty at Taylor mentioned last month that someone is making new FT's (and other)gearboxes for $20k. All new construction.
    Used prices have dropped...

I think this car is a smokin' deal, if we weren't already involved with another project we'd get it tomorrow.

6-7K GBP or US$? Sounds like you'd be passing up a screaming deal not to buy at that price, can you post up details so others can take advantage.

Was this the car that Collin Tucky (spelling?) drove at Westwood back when it was new? It would be a shame to break the car up. Was there more than one built?

Yes this is the Tuckey car.

1 of 1 in Atlantic trim(81A) a couple 813 cars where built using the same style tub for F3 I believe.

Bingo. I'd really hate to see the tub parted out by anyone. Motor/tranny can be replaced, but the rest really is one-of-a-kind.
