    Default IndyCar team seeks entry-level mechanics.

    Established, winning Plainfield, Illinois (Chicago) based IndyCar team requires 2 entry level mechanics.

    Requirements:
    · Minimum 1 year's experience in Pro/Semi-Pro racing (FF2000, Mazda, etc) is a must.
    · In-shop and at-track duties preparing & maintaining the race car, pit equipment, transporters, shop equipment, etc.
    · Travel to all races & tests.
    · Willingness to learn and perform over-the-wall pitstops.
    · Own tools.
    · Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with others in a team environment.
    · Must be legal to reside and work in the U.S.

    This a full-time position that offers competitive wages, daily per diem while traveling, medical insurance, reasonable hours and the right candidates an excellent opportunity to further their careers in professional racing.

    Man, 20 years ago and I'd be jumping off the I-55 and 126 exit and in your parking lot already...

    Thanks, Doug. 32 years ago (!) I pretty much did that very jump - albeit off of the 101 in L.A!

    I posted here as my background includes many years in the CenDiv, working with FF's, FF2000's, S-2000's, etc., and I know there are talented, younger guys out there that are ready to move up a level & would make excellent additions to our team.

    Are you allowed to say what team and driver?

    Inquiring minds want to know who was able to make the jump from lowly SCCA racing to the big time?
