    Default Cockpit adjustable swaybar

    Hello,

Does anyone know if the cockpit adjuster for the adjustable swaybar needs to be a SCCA enterprises part or could I use something like this:

    Thanks,

    Robin

Not sure on the legality, but you might also use something like this:

Although I am not familiar with the gyrodynamics made unit, I am with the micro-adjust knob style. I think (if it's legal for you to change) you would find that micro-adjust style just too slow to make any quick, important, on-track adjustments.

The main problem with the vernier adjuster (which is basically a mixture control knob off a light aircraft) is that it isn't repeatable. You can quickly move the cable by pushing the central button which removes the friction lock but you have no positive stop to insure you are going to the same spot everytime except full hard and full soft.

I don't believe it's "open" to purchase it from anywhere or to home brew your own. Maybe one of the CSRs can chime in...

Keith, the adjustable front sway bar is a spec item.
