    Default Evo4 and Mychron3?

Does anyone know if its possible to use the Mychron3 in conjunction with the Evo4? I'm looking at the Evo4 because I was told I can use the GPS receiver with that (instead of using a beacon).

    thanks

Just the mychron3 display or the mychron3 data system?

Evo4 is a much better unit and you can use GPS (built into the evo4 logger) without a beacon, in fact you can use GPS manager and load in all the tracks. This way when you get to the track you need to do nothing the GPS coordinates for the start finish line will already be in the logger. If you use a evo4 you used to be able to purchase just a mychron3 display but they no longer sell it they have a new display called G-dash it has a few other options (I run a evo4 with the older mychron3 display)

Yes, it's possible. That's what I have in my DB-6/Honda, and I really dig it.

The number of data channels that you get with GPS is awesome. You get lap times, predictive lap times, segment times, speed, lateral and longitudinal accelerations, slope (up/down hill), heading, and track maps. Combined with RPM, it can calculate which gear you are in and show that on the dash.

Agreed. On the track maps, you can select a channel and place the cursor on the map and see the value at any given point. It's terrific! I've sold probably three-dozen EVO4's this year.

    Sell the mychron3 gold

Buy a evo4 with the G-dash then you can add expansion latter for many many more sensors. The other displays are to large for a FV
