DB-1's did not come with 2 piece discs. So to get replacement rotors you need to first know who built your 2 piece discs.

Neil Porter sells a real nice 2 piece floating brake set up for the DB-1. I don't think he will drill rotors though.

The drilled 2-piece floating rotors on my DB1 were reportedly from ProTech. Very well made, in my opinion.

We're talking a thin, less than 10" diameter, solid rotor for a Formula Ford here.
The best thing they do is wear pads quicker.
For road racing they also limit the use of some very nice brake pad material choices.

Keith, which pads don't like drilled rotors?

My DB1 arrived with a front rotor configuration of: drilled / floating / alum hat / Hawk blue. The rears are similar, but non-floating. Being a cost-concious back-of-the-packer, I will most likely revert back to one-piece iron when the current rotors wear out. I will miss the sound of the rotors clicking while pushing the car around.

The only current front running National FF I remember seeing drilled rotors on is Tim Kautz Piper. They are scalloped too.

If you realy want to replace your drilled rotors with another set of drilled rotors, Pegasus has drilled rotor replacements for FF LD19 application. You just need to look at them and determine if they'll fit on your hats.

A couple of my guys like sour "more aggressive" KFP Magnum brake pads (Carbon-Kevlar, not metallic), particularly for places like Elkhart, but the drilled rotors went through them too fast, so we went back to our normal materials.
Even in my days of driving (many, many years ago), running drilled rotors and the old materials like Ferodo DS-11, 2430's, the pad wear was still slightly faster, but then I noticed the rotors face developing a strange wear pattern because of the holes, and they needed replacement sooner. My rotors (Ralt-RT1) were thicker/heavier so it sort of made sense, but we abandoned the practice.

In Formula F 1st, 3rd and 4th had drilled and scalloped rotors at the runoffs!! They all came from the same place!!

The FB winner had the same rotors as the Formula F winner.

And second place in FF, who had fastest race lap, did not. That's why he was able to use brake materials (that would still last past just one weekend) different then the others. If you saw some of his position changing moves, it was under heavy braking.

The pics I took of Reid's car early in the week show drilled non-scalloped front rotors. Can't see what is on the rears.

They are not using the compound that Reid (and Russ Ruedisueli) like.

Well aware of that Keith. All 3 are using different manufacture of pads. Jeffery uses pad brand "A", Scotty uses pad brand "B" and Tim uses pad brand "C". All three pad manufactures are rotor friendly and the rotors are pad friendly.
