No updates I guess from today...just checked the entry list & looks like 24 or so entries, hopefully most make it out. I see another Mygale entry on the list that I have not seen before by Kenneth Bouquillion. I think that makes 7 Mygales.
Reid hopefully we get to see you sooner then later...Mid O maybe?

Turnout was light, weather was hot and humid. I've seen the track faster, but most got going pretty well. Fresh tires made a difference. No official times. From memory, Edison, Foster in Spectrums, Telitz, Alspach in Mygales as well as the name mentioned before that I can't seem to come up with. Collasacco, Albani in VD's and my Swift. Callo in his Bowman. I also saw a couple CF's out there. Hoosier was set up and working. The F2000 turnout seemed low as well, but some guy named Treadway was testing in F2000.
I was not at Lime Rock today, however, the entry list for the test day did look decent. I'm sure Rand stopped by so perhaps he can chime in.
We did not have T&S there so times are anyone's guess.
Treadway? The man, the myth, the legend??
Was he in his own ride or a rental?

JT came out after a 4 year lay off to shake down an out of the box F2000 for me. 3rd lap out was in the 51's. One session only from him and we got all the info we needed. Stonebridge still knows how to build a car and JT still can drive the wheels off of them.
Shout out to Bob Detrick who put a ton of time into the build of the car. It came in every session under it's own power and nothing fell off all day. Can't ask for more than that!

Lime Rock Tuesday testing.
No T&S so no "official" times.
I was actually rather pleased with the turnout for a Tuesday 2 full days before even load in for the weekend with 24 total.
Them that passed may regret it come Friday.
But if this mornings weather forcast holds true and it rains all day Friday so it probably makes no difference to the Friday afternoon qualifying order after all.
And Saturday is a huge unknown as to weather.
But no matter how you look at it 2 plus hours of dedicated single class track time with fairly low traffic density, with traffic of you wanted to hunt it out, is nothing but great track time.
It would have been great to be there but for myself it is too much time off work with two days of down time. I am glad you were able to have the turn out you did but very difficult for many of us to make that schedule work. It will hurt many of us not having the track for sure...

Steve, I know the LRP test things sucks and this is the first , and only, time we tried it.
Quaranteed NOT to be repeated.
Weather may well negate and Tuesday track time anyway !
New entriesthat we are seeing for the first time this season.

Jake Eidson fastest in P1 on wet tires in the Spectrum - cold and wet for the rest of the weekend it seems, although perhaps dry for the rest of this afternoon.
A little wet out there...
Awesome shot Dennis!

Jake Eidson was amazing! I stood on the hill for race 1 so I could see the end of Sam Posey straight, Big Bend & through the esses. Every lap, unless he was lapping a slower car, he was perfectly consistent exiting Big Bend, placing the left tires 1" away from the paint at the edge of the track. The F1600 race was fun to watch with good battles all through the field.

I finally got to looking at some of the LRP files this evening.
I saw that i had shots of Dennis at work.
Word was that Telitz was getting his front wheels airbourne at the crest of the uphill.
I never got a clear shot of it.

So, you wanna race in the rain, better qualify better than I did or this is what you see: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MmfA65nSMx4
Mike,
I notice when the cars ahead are traveling sideways they put up far less spray.
Mike, if it wasnt so scary and dangerous, that would be outright funny right there. Race 2 literally could not see the cars next to you, much less the ones in front. I imagine at some point the fun factor went away for many people that weekend.
Thanks for letting the whole world watch me slide off the track. Seemed like a good place to pass at the time.
Ed
Right here I was saying to myself "damn, nice pass - two cars in one corner"
Then I was saying to myself "wow, would be sick if he saved this!"
and then I said to myself "this is gonna be a great photo "
Does this mean I'm off the hook Ed? I thought you were just repaying the favor from the first race when I did the same thing. Great work Dennis.

You have to watch these photographers though. They can take two separate incidents and make it look like one extended but more spectacular incident.

It was all one incident, I am still cleaning the mud out of my car from that one. All my friend had a good laugh when I showed them the pictures of me splashing around in the water. Some pointed out "did you know you are not on the track". I need all new friends.
Oh - I like to think I almost saved it. But hell never stalled the motor and kept on going.
