    Default Staudacher trailer - SOLD

Originally built for a Formula Continental, will fit DSR or any formula car. Wt. 2500#. Beautiful but tough and practical. EASY to maintain. Newer tires, chrome wheels, overhead canopy. Hoist to load car also comes in handy for engine changes at track or checking under car. Lots of storage. Hold two sets of wheels in lower compartments. Fridge and micro. It also draws attention in the paddock (at least from me) watching the loading/unloading process.

    Default Thread diversion

I have not seen this trailer, but I have seen the Staudacher trailer built after this one ? It tows a DSR to the track behind a Mazda 3. I'm sure there are photos somewhere, but the quality and craftsmandship are A-1 first class. If that trailer had wings, I'm positive the FAA would certify it to fly.

Based on seeing his work (cars, planes and trailers) and hearing the stories of this trailer and its side loading feature, I can only imagine that it's worth every penny.

Not sure, but this looks to be an article of when the trailer was built:

Jon also does / has built racing hydroplanes in his time. Think of 2 or 3 Miss Budweisers among probably hundreds of other unlimiteds and smaller classes.

The guy is pure genius who can work and shape almost anything.

This is a MAGNIFICENT TRAILER. It was designed so that Jon could race with a minimal crew and is easily the best small trailer I have ever seen. I want it.

    Ditto Havoc's question.

That DSR looks about 9.5 feet long, and there was room ahead of it in the trailer, but FCs are close to 14 feet...

The DSR is nearly the same length as a Continental. Plus, before the DSR Jon was running a Vector F2000, so an FC will definitely fit.

    Default I suppose

that if you remove the nose of a FC and hang it on the wall, and unbolt the rear wing and do the same, the two chassis' would be close to the same length, but still think the FC would be longer.
Not to say ya couldn't sneak the car diagonally past the steel pole, and use up space towards front of trailer though.
    That "D" looks very SWB!

I want that trailer so bad.. Pretty sure it would fit a vee too! Can't spend the money, but man oh man is that thing awesome.

Our local track's paddock is tight and loading/unloading can be a pain sometimes, as trailers are parked back to back. What an awesome solution!

I would buy this if I could figure a cost effective way to get it to California?

Jon did build the trailer for his 95 Vector FC which will fit without removal of wing or nose. Car pivots all around on the lift. You just load nose first. Very easy, one man job!

My DSR is 12' 4" long and loads with easy clearance and has 33" left in front of car once it's loaded.

I just bought Jon's S011 car and trailer and that's why I'm selling.

USHIP is one way, another way would be to post a request for a racer traveling east to west to haul it out.

An awesome trailer, you would be the talk of the paddock...
