EWC NEWS 08/24/03

(1) I'll be getting an update from the registrar after Monday's mail. We need to get quite a few entries in this week if we want our own race group. If you have entered, please let me know. If you will be entering, please do so right away.

(2) Because the blackout effectively cancelled my travel plans to Road America, I have some stuff left over for a prize drawing at Mid-Ohio. It will be right after Saturday's last checker at Bruce Lindstrand's trailer.

(3) I'll also have EWC photo gallery posters with me at Mid-Ohio. If you did not get one at Road America, stop by the Lindstrand Motosports trailer after the last checker of the day on Saturday.

(4) Instead of a tech talk at Mid-Ohio, I would like to have a discussion on the 2003 EWC business plan. Please bring a lawn chair to the Lindstrand Motorsports trailer after the last checker on Saturday and let's talk about what worked and what did not work this season.

Can you update us on the entry status of the Final two rounds of the EWC at Mid-Ohio on September 6 and 7?

The news on entries is not good.

I have confirmations on 11 FF/CFF drivers: Wes Allen, Jennie Morsch, Tom Tipsword, Scott Hanba, Gordy Good, Dan Faust, Dave McGinnis, Mark Blythe, Marc Blanc, and Jon Adams. The registrar has received 11 FV/F500 entries for a Race Group 2 total of 22.

This is a long way from the 56 required to split the race group.

The 2004 EWC business plan will be discussed after the last checker Saturday at Bruce Lindstrand's trailer. Clearly some changes are in order.
