I was wondering what is suggested to get closer to the steering wheel and maybe seat a little higher?Pour a seat, use some sort of cushion, some 2x4s(watch out for the splinters)? Then does it have to be secured to the car or you being belted on top of it secures it enough?

This is sort of rare as a problem... usually we are stomping on the fuel cell surround trying to get another half inch.

Pouring a foam seat won't work unless you are sitting in your proper position when you start pouring.

For starters, run down to Home Depot (obvious plug) and buy a 4 X 8 sheet of 1/2 inch foam. Start cutting pieces to lay on the floor and in front of the tank. Keep jumping in and out of the car trying it out. You can work in 1/2 inch increments, and it is a real cheap experiment. Remember upper leg support, it is a good thing.

When your butt and back are where you think you want them, then you could pop the $100 for the foam seat kit.

You could race with the cheap foam all wrapped up in tape, but in time it will crush down. So just use it to test your theories, before you pop the $100.
