    Default Ratchet Straps

Need a little help from the group. I am looking for ratchet straps to tie a car down, but have a special request. The ratchet side needs to have a REALLY short strap or none at all. Make sense? Ideally the ratchet would have the hook end connected to it directly or with a 1-2" long strap.

I have used old seatbelt plates to shorten ratchet straps. Flat plate with two slots.

Joe - most tiedown ratchets have a long bolt to hold the straps - that means you can bolt the ratchets directly to something (like trailer floor) - or use them to retain a lifting hook (I've bent in the side frames and used a shorter bolts when doing this) - or - all kinds of other things. You can also get any local power sewing shop to simply shorten the supplied straps. Derek

I've had great service from Custom Tie Downs. They make their own here in the USA and can make anything custom you need. I've ordered custom e-track tie downs for my car, nitrogen tank, tool box, etc. They made them in the color's I wanted and to the length I wanted, added custom webbing underneath the buckle so it doesn't rub metal on metal on the tool box, and other nice touches like that.

    Where I work, TAC Enterprises,

    www.tacind.com

We make all the cargo nets for the standard USAF pallets used in all USAF cargo planes.

We have the ability to make any configuration of ratched strap you need.

It would be from 1 7/8 wide MIL SPEC webbing with a breaking strength exceeding 7500#.

We have some ratchets like the opne with the hook on the end or can make them with a snap hook on a short length of webbing.

    What would you like.

Price will be good and shipping will be USPS flat rate box.

I had a similar need and bought these ratchets with attached safety hook to attach directly to pivoting anchor in trailer floor. They work for me.
