Just curious, would this car be legal for F600 if you remove the wings and put a 600cc engine in it?

Long story short, this class used to race oval tracks in southern WI and northern IL. Tracks starting dropping us because the fans didn't like how we didn't have fenders and didn't push and bang like the other redneck classes. So the class switched to road racing. When we first started we ran under the "UNR" class. After about a year there was enough of us that we got our own class "CFI" Club Formula Indy. We run with the "big formula" group; FA,FB,FC and so on.

This car would have to race in the FS regional class for SCCA road racing. It would ne in one of the modified classes for solo but not sure which one.

It does not look like it could be converted to F600 but would have to see a lot more pics to know for sure.

    Thanks ... Jay Novak

I ran a Midwestern Council weekend at Rd America last year (fun event, by the way) with my Club Ford and saw a car like this in our run group. I had to look at the results sheet to see what it was, it was a Predator classed as CFI. The group included CFF thru FA and some Sports Racers, and the Predator ran mid-pack.

Doesn't look like it could be converted to F600 specs easily. The suspension would have to be modified to use the rubber pucks. I don't think the side pods meet the rules either. Like Jay said, it would be best to leave it as is and run FS. For autocross it might meet the B Mod rules, but if not would have to run A Mod.

for autocrossing, this would be either A Mod, or B Mod.

This car is one of the fastest in the CFI class. My best time at Blackhawk is a 1.17 and a 2.39 for Road America. Road America should have been better but we didn't bring the right gears
