Tom Andresen's tech talk on Kent cylinder head maintenance at Blackhawk Farms was so well received that another EWC tech talk will be offered at Road America. This time, Bruce Lindstrand will discuss tire temperatures and chassis set up variables.

The tech talk will begin right after the last checker of the day on Saturday and will be held at the Lindstrand Motorsports trailer. Many thanks in advance, Bruce, for sharing your valuable time and expertise.

    But that's not all.

There will be a prize drawing based on the number of starters in Saturday's race. Why does the list stop at 39 starters? If we have 40 or more starters, everyone wins because the cure for Chicagophobia will have been found.

One chance per driver. You must have started the race on Saturday and be present at the drawing to win.

    CARS,SPONSOR/PATRON, PRIZE

    30, OPEC, decals (2)
31, Steve Beeler, Mk9 gear change checklist
32, DRE, Steve Nickless FF book
    33, Hoosier, very large banner
34, Xerox, Club Ford article from July '86 SportsCar
35, Juan Montoya, June 5, 2003 issue of AUTOSPORT
36, Jacques Villeneuve, 1996 Indy 500 ticket stub
37, Shelter Systems, $50 merchandise certificate
    38, Racing Flow Development, $100 shop/labor credit
    39, Andresen Engine Developement, $100 shop/labor credit

    But that's still not all.

Luxon Printing's fabulous 2003 EWC photo gallery posters will be distributed. Many thanks again to John Luxon for his generous support of FF1600 and the EWC.

The prize drawing and the posters will also be at the Lindstrand Motorsports trailer. Be there right after the last checker of the day.

Chicago Region's EWC double regional at Road America August 16-17 will be this season’s best weekend of Formula Ford 1600 racing: best track, best food, best field, best prizes, best reserved paddock, best of everything.

Mail your entry today. Not tomorrow or the next day. Do it NOW.

P.S. Yes, the prize drawing is a bit of a cheesy promotional gimmick. The best recruiting tool is still a big pre-entry list. If you are going to be a Road America, please let me know.

Apparently the Road America prize drawing is not such a cheesy promotional gimmick after all.

Rob Howden is adding two subscriptions to FormulaCar magazine. This new publication is getting great reviews and is quite a nice prize.

Joe Marcinski from Moroso Performance Products is offering two sets of custom made sleeved and numbered Moroso Ultra 40 ignition wire sets. Joe will work with the winners to configure the wires to their exact specifications.

Since we all win with 40 or more cars, I'll add these four new prizes at the other end of the list.

29, Moroso Performance Products, ignition wires
28, Moroso Performance Products, ignition wires
    27, FormulaCar magazine, subscription
    26, FormulaCar magazine, subscription

Many thanks in advance to Rob and Joe for their support of the EWC and FF1600.
