Wanted To Buy 1996 RF96 Van Diemen

Finally... I saved up and am ready to buy your RF'96, specifically & only a 1996 Van Diemen. Anyone out there with a garage queen or a fixer upper please PM me. I have cash and I would like to get one asap so I can prep for the 2013 season. Complete preferred but a roller or a slider is also an option, lets discuss.

    Thanks,
    T. Fass

    Default RF96

    Hi Tommy,

I am still in search, if you could please send me some information about the car (motor history, when car was last ran, most important... what needs to be fixed to get the car track ready for this season) This is till the mono-shock up front?

I'm traveling for work but PM me and we can figure out a date I can come down and see the car. (is it located in burbank or?)

Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

    Thanks,
    Tim

There are 2 front shocks. Not a 96, unless it was converted.

looking through my notes... Chuck Cecil in SC has a '96. Randy Warren in NC has a '96 he has not raced in over 10 years. It may be available. Chuck is a Apexspeeder, he would know about Randy's.

    Default 96 V D

Randy sold his last year. The car pictured is not a 96 . A 96 has a different shock cover.

I had a 93 and a 96. This one is in between and looks like a 95 given the bodywork looks original.

I believe it is a 95. Frame, sidepods, front shock set-up, etc. just like our original 95

late 94 or a 95. Early 94s had the parallel radiators (narrow sidepods) Some late 94s had the 95 pods and all 95s had the wide pods. Lots of narrow 94s were converted later on. No frame differences, if you look on top the front hoop cap the frame # is stamped there.

this car has the original VD diffuser and angled rear sidepod floors as opposed to the more modern style that has a consistent width from the curve of the sidepod all the way to the back of the diffuser.
