That would have been my first June Sprints after I completed my stint in the Navy. There was Jerry Hanson, of course, Randy Townsend in the 917 (the only 917 I ever saw) and I'm thinking Jack Hinkle in the damaged Lola that was being towed in on the hook. From what I remember, Dave Weitzenhoff won the FF race that weekend in his Z10. The following year was when I went through my first drivers school and the same year I befriended your father.
