My '84 Reynard came with a newly rebuilt set of non-adjustable Bilsteins. I'm considering moving up to a set of adjustable shocks. Having come out of Karting shocks are new to me. I know it's possible (and quite easy) to spend some big $$ on shocks, but where does the law of diminishing returns start to become a player?
Any time you solve one problem you invariably create another. Hopefully this one is easier to live with.

Just a guess, but I'd say after triple adjustable shocks the gain vs. investment starts to get a bit crazy. You Koni doubles should be much better than the Bilsteins.

The Bilstein shocks are excellent--for non-adjustable shocks. Before you plop down a pot-full of money for "better" shocks, you need to determine if you'll really get any benefit from these shocks. Are you willing to put in 3-4 practice days to test and dial in the shocks? You won't get much value if you just arbitrarily set everything in the middle and hope that they're where they should be.

The largest percentage of help on these (rear engined race cars), is with the rear end. You need to control the moving weight of the engine(as you brake and go around corners), and the 2Ltr motor has plenty of that located up high.
