    Default Trailer floor coatings/paint?

Any options on enclosed trailer flooring?

I would like to keep the weight to a minimum as I will be doing the floor on a aluminum trailer. I'm sure painting would be the lightest option.

Anyone use this deck Restore coating before? It goes on pretty thick like bed liner.

I used rubber flooring on my 12'x6' enclosed. I actually got it delivered though Sam's club. Only had the groved type, the "coin" flooring would be easier on the feet. I have e-track on the sides running the entire length, so that keeps it in place. Has been working great.

I also bought the rubber flooring from Sams Club, worked out quite well and was a lot easier then paint also easier to keep clean, I installed polished alum diamond plate runners, looks good. To make it easier to keep clean I bought a length of carpet runner that I roll out under the car to catch any drips, also easierr to walk up when it rains.

    Mark,
I just bought an aluminum trailer with wood floor and put down that gray Epoxy with those sprinkles from Home Despot. Worked out fairly well. We were at NHMS over cheap date... I ended up having a few with the FV guys (Mike R etc) at the party. You could have asked then.

    Mark:

How about truck bed liner? Herculiner (http://www.herculiner.com) has a self application kit and this stuff is bullet proof. My neighbor has it on his trailer. Simply rinse it out. Of course, you can always have it professionally sprayed on as well.

I put Grizzly Grip in my trailer. Really works well. Kind of a cross between a bedliner & epoxy coatings. Seems unaffected by oil/fluids, water obviously isn't even a problem.

Painted up the walls about 3 inches, completely sealed the inside of my trailer floor. I used the fine version inside & coarse on the ramp. The only thing I would've done differently, is that I should've maybe sanded plywood joints & covered the screws with a small putty dab, simply to make it look like a seamless interior. And that's only because I'm uber picky.

The site is down at the moment, but is worth looking into. It can be used on anything, not just bed liners applications. People use it on hangers floors, sidewalk/patios, car exteriors, anything.

Mark - we went up with the trailer without the car just to visit and party. My last trailer had leftover epoxy pool paint (a really cool blue!) that held up well for almost a decade.

I used the bed liner on one trailer and didn't like it very much as it was hard on my knees. Maybe the pro jobs are better but my kit was a pain in the axx.

    Default Trailer floor paint

Having tried flooring as well as spending time with various paint I find a simple exterior paint that takes about 20 min to recoat once a year or so on the plywood works well for about $25/gallon which will last about 2-3 coatings. There really is no substitute for aluminum diamond plate but it is damn expensive.

Like Jerry, I have used plain old exterior floor paint forever.

Cheap, lasts and you can just put another coat down when it needs to look brand new abain.

I ran across some stuff with kind of sand in it on sale and it produces a perfect non slip surface.
