Anyone care to share?
Thanks in advance,

only there 3 times. 2nd time in a 92 VD ff kent 10:31. i was a couple seconds slower than what you'll probably run. i ran an 18:33, 20:30, 23:29, 24:26.
For those of you who replied, thank you very much! In my 26 years of racing I have been taught that racers help racers so for what it is worth this is what I have decided to go with:
10/31 R/P:
16:29
17:25
21:26
23:24
I hope it's right.

with that top gear, either the 31 mm restrictor is waaaaay to big or the Honda doesnt like much RPM. With a kent you wouldnt get much over 6300 rpm w/o draft. IMO 19/21 is the correct gear thought most run the 24/26

My gear chart show 128 mph at 6800 with a 19:21, seems way to low??? Maybe my chart is off?
Jim
128 at 6500 rpm with a tire dia of 22.4 which is what our pro tires were at VIR. My driver isnt a record setter but our motor is and we see 128/129 at SP. 6800 takes it to 132/133 which is more then enough
edit : but I havent geared a fit with a 31mm , and no I am not trying to start anything just stating my experience

Hoosier web site says the F1600 rear tire is 22.6" in diameter.
Doing the math:
16/29
6500 = 77.81 drops to 5274
6800 = 81.40 drops to 5517
17/25
6500 = 95.90 drops to 5472
6800 = 100.33 drops to 5725
21/26
6500 = 113.91 drops to 5478
6800 = 119.17 drops to 5731
23/24
6500 = 135.16
6800 = 141.39

Is turn 4 flat with no wings?
2006
2007
Jimmy,
I sent you a computerized gear chart in your email.
website is nice, I can assure you the rear tire is not 22.6. Hoosier takes their measurements at an absurd tire pressure that swells out the center of the tires. they are 70.25 at 19psi which is 22.37 or so rounded up to 22.4.
turn 4 is flat in a stock Z06.....but you will only get stopped for turn 5 twice then its game over, but it was worth it to watch my girlfriend panic both when making the corner and when not making the corner

no I only paniced when schweitz 3D almost wrecked it at driver school

Because Firlein knows what he is talking about.
Using 22.4" diameter:
Doing the math:
16/29
6500 = 77.12 drops to 5274
6800 = 80.68 drops to 5517
17/25
6500 = 95.05 drops to 5472
6800 = 99.44 drops to 5725
21/26
6500 = 112.90 drops to 5478
6800 = 118.11 drops to 5731
23/24
6500 = 133.96
6800 = 140.14
revised:
Going with this and praying for the big draft behind Kautz
1. 16:29
2. 17:25
3. 21:26
4. 24:26
I worry that with a 1000 rpm drop when you shift from 3rd into 4th that the Fit is going to fall flat on its face.
Even with a pinto i try to keep that drop closer to 750 rpms.
Better look at a dyno sheet and see where your best torque rpm resides.
I rather have torque shifting into 4thespecially when in front or alone, and then if i get a draft I let the engine over-rev a bit. YMMV.
Turn 4 is flat in a CFF on Hosier R60's.
OK - I will ask, looking at the layout is turn for the right had kink before the left or the bend before that.
Don't recall all the turns as I haven't been to Summit since the last Pro 1600 series ran there back around 1990. Dam, how long have I been at this.

I thought it was called "The Chute" Am I dating myself here?
Jim
The chute / T4 interchageable. Most racers do call it the chute, which of course follows wagon bend.

It is called the Chute. If you read the gentleman's question, that wasn't one of the two choices.
I am going to have to go back and read my 22 year old course notes.
