Default Mid Ohio update

Aaron et al, all F2000 and F1600 entants.
We have arranged a total of 3.5 hours of dedicated single class track time from Thursday evening through Sundays final races.
We are requesting, not necessarily demanding yet, that our entrants NOT take part in the Friday evening all openwheel/sportsracer sessions.
Extreme hardship cases can be pleaded but we really do NOT want our teams, cars or drivers on track Friday evening with the alphabet soup sessions.

Actually, between Thursday evening and Sunday's races, each group gets over 4 hours of track time. Absolutely no need to do Friday evening as well. Besides, they run the club course and we run straight to the Keyhole.

Back in the day in high school, we used to take the family Caprice Classic wagon up to the drive through liquor store. Take off the letter jacket and toss it in the passenger seat to look as old as you can when you look 12 and buy a 6 pack of Coors for me and a pack of Bartles and James for the lady.

Haven't been there in years, but likely only the brands have changed.

One thing is for sure: you won't be reading a New York Times. Last time we were there trying to buy one in Mansfield the clerk so carefully pointed out to us: "Ma'am, this is Ohio." Good to know.

And in case you're wondering, the Mansfield Ohio Honda dealer does not stock Fits so if you're looking for parts there aren't any to canibilize...

Friday - sprint cars at Attica Raceway or Wayne County

Saturday - take your pick, asphalt or dirt?

I know I shouldn’t say this, you guys will just fill the place up and it will be hard to get a sit; but it’s pretty clear what you do in Lexington. You go to Bucks, you drink beer and you race karts until they throw you out. Do you guys know nothing?

I was thinking a night in Attica would be fun. Getting thrown out of a bar the night before a race is even better.....for the car owner, not the driver! Back when we raced sprint cars I seem to remember we mixed it up on track and THEN got thrown out of bars. Dirt Track version of a 2 for 1 special.

I'm planning on Attica Friday night. "When in Attica, do as the Atticans."
I figure Florida plates on the car won't raise any suspisions." I always tell them I'm an anthropologist doing an article for National Geographic.

That's what we always did until Bucks ended up a pile of ashes. Then we just ran the Karts

until we got kicked out.

I was going to say, if they'll let me back on the karts this year, i'll be there getting kicked out again.
