    Default New kid on the block

    Hey everybody. Is there anyone in the Carolinas running FST ? Would like to go scca racing again .looking for car options .I'm 6'4" 220# . Did a few races in a Adams areo vee at Watkins glen in the 90s . Really interested in the FST class .any info would be helpful .

    Welcome.

    I'm about 6'1" - 215lbs these days. I have just about the smallest car out there (Lynks B conversion). I fit, but it's tight - and I certainly don't have any room to grow.

    Depending on your budget, and whether or not you are looking to convert a FV or buy a purpose built FST - there are plenty of options.

    On the conversion side, I was always most comfy in the Vector and the Adams. Seems like the Womer would have a good amount of cockpit space as well. They all make beautiful FST's IMHO.

    Bill Bonow and Jim Nash can comment about each of these cars, but the Evolution and Mission are very roomy cars, and should be quite comfy. I still think the Mission is one of the prettiest cars on the grid.

    I'm sure the guys on the board will have a lot of other ideas too!
