    Default Pressure not streamlining

If you enlarge the photo of the Fit(mine is white)you will notice that the roof line and the rear spoiler are at about 15 to 20 degrees to each other. You are not streamlining you are moving the amount of pressure around.
The spoiler keeps the air moving in a slightly upward angle(little drag) but at the same time speeds up the air from under and sides said trailer to fill the gap reducing drag and lift at the same time. You are trying to make the air going under the car or trailer travel as far and fast as the air going up and over to equalize the pressures as much as possible. The very little drag added by the spoiler.

Without the spoiler the air from on top has to fill the big gap left behind witch causes a lot of drag. The spoiler makes the air from around the rest of the car, trailer or what ever help fill the gap causing less drag and lift.

Don't forget that there are non-drag/lift reasons for aero devices as well. There are lots of features on modern cars that are not drag devices, but do reduce dirt build up (soiling) or wind noise.

    Default This one isfor Aero!

This one is for drag reduction and one similar for the same reasons on most SUVs or similar shaped cars.

    Okay I'll buy the arguments.

Where do I get an appropriate spoiler wide enough for the trailer and how much will it improve my fuel mileage?

    Will it really help stability?

since it's hard to find a 96" shear and brake wouldn't you just cut and bend two 48" pieces and lap the seam with about 8 rivits?

    It's not gonna go 200.....

Instead of looking for a shear and brake that long, I am entertaining making one out of aluminum with angled brackets or thin plywood.

Or-using an off the shelf one made for our roundy round brothers in aluminum or lexan:

Do you guys spend as much time developing your race cars as you do developing your trailers?

    And I do.

They can be used to delay separation and straighten flows. Minimal benefit.
