    Default Manufacturer Contingency Programs

We are pleased to announce both Honda and Ford have agreed to extend the same cash contingency program that was in place for 2011 for the new season.
Each company will award $500 for a win, $300 for second and $200 for third , plus the top 5 finishers not on the podium with their motor and registered with their respective programs will receive $100 each.
Think if one manufacturer sweeps the podium, then the next 2 highest finishers with that motor, regardless of position, gets $100.
Each company is making up to $1,200 per race, or $2,400 per double race weekend, for a seasonal total of $14,400 per manufacturer in possible winnings.
Thanks again to Honda/HPD and Ford Racing for their continued support of entry level open wheel racing.
The season kicks off at VIR April 12-15 followed by Lime Rock Park Memorial Day weekend May 25-26.
Next up is NJMP/Thunderbolt on June 29-July 1 and then Mid Ohio July 27-29.
Summit Point is scheduled for August 24-26 with the season winding up at Watkins Glen International October 12-14.
Registrations are coming in on a daily basis and with the exciting news that Mygale will be represented by a 2 car effort from Bryan Herta Autosports the field is sure to grow both in numbers and competitiveness.

Great job! Do we have something like that in place for F2000?

John, as long as one manufacturer always wins, in F2000 currently it is of course Ford either Zetec or Pinto, nothing like this can happen.
    The future ? Who knows........

They should pay for having the monopoly. That is worth a bunch more in my book!

Mike, Do we need to re-register each year with either manufacturer?

    Great job on the support.

I have checked in with both Honda/HPD and Ford Racing.
Neither require re-registering but Ford needs any competitor currently registered to log on and update their registration to reflect the 2012 F1600 season.
Both have asked that the required logos and branding be documented and want us, the series, to make sure all are in compliance, so if you have a different car, or a re-paint, get replacement decals as needed.
Little enough to ask in return for their support.

    Jeremy,
In the interest of a more accurate and complete list I want to wait until the end of the month but I can safely say no one will be disappointed with both the quantity and quality of drivers and teams for the second season of the F1600 Formula F Championship Series.
With the reports out of HPD regarding sales of installation kits and motors and new chassis appearing it is going to be a really interesting season.
HPD assures all they are getting caught up on supply and delivery of bits and pieces and there are some really fast youngsters to be announced shortly.
So patience please, I am aiming at the weekend of Feb 25-26 to get something out for all to peruse.
