And the ability to reproduce cars in 1/4 scale with a degree of accuracy that would provide relevant results.

    Default Quarter-scale models

We (DauntlessRacing.com) can help you with that, Rob, courtesy of our 48" wide x 96" long x 24" tall CNC router.

Most models are now 60% scale! The old school model making skills are being (have been!) replaced by rapid prototype machines and cnc cut parts/molds. The early 80's 1/4 scale models are works of art - hand carved mahogany wings!

oh wow. I just read somewhere (RCE, probably) that they stopped using it and are CFD only now. It'd be fun to go to the auction just to see their shop.

Swift are now almost exclusively into military R & D, specializing in UAVs, and found they could do a better-faster-cheaper job with server clusters running CFD than they could get with that tunnel, which is so small that the Reynolds Numbers are unreliable on the scale models they could fit into it. They have been trying to give the tunnel away for a couple of years, but had no takers.
