Not sure. Would have to talk to pennon about this. It is about 2 years old, but the design has not changed as far as i know.

Yes, would like to know how they came about with that shape.

If you ask me, it does not look like a good design at all and who ever designed it did not do a good job at all.

What would you have done differently?

Pretty bold talk unless you have some experience or results to back it up.

    Everybody calm down.

Remember we are all friends here.

    Keep it civil.

Pennon products have had much success in all levels of Formula car racing in the US.

It is a well proven design. It was the same design that won many national championchips, and many top 3 also. Unless you have a wind tunnel, or have a good CFD model to go by how would you know Anyway, part is still for sale to those who know how well these parts are....

No bold talk at all! It just happens that I do this stuff for a living and enjoy what goes on here even though I am based in the UK.

Then please enlighten the rest of us on what you would have done differently and why this is not a good design at all.

In the UK, how do people normally react when you defecate in their classified advertisements? You are not wrong to have an educated opinion regarding the design of the Pennon diffuser (in spite of its success), but to bring those opinions up right here is probably not the most tactful way to present them.

It was not meant to 'take the piss' - it was just an opinion. I know it is for sale and that thing is on so many cars and any one interested would buy it with out thinking about what I had to say. All I meant was for what it is, a better job can be done - thats all!

I see. You're not finished yet. Well, relax, read the paper or something, and when you're sure it's all out, go ahead and wipe, pull up your trousers, and let the man sell his race car part.

Did'nt think trying to sell this wouldbe this hard. Everyone has there right to there opinions, but i don't think it should be posted here. Maybe put in the general info section of this site. If you have something better, post it and let everyone give there opinions about your stuff.

I hear he is a good will ambassador for Britain. Personally, I think he was put off by the shape. What he did not realize is that we were looking at the top !

As my daughters would say..... "whatever".....

Good luck with the sale. It is a great and proven part, and it is priced right.

    Default Because

I would not believe anything he says. He has been trolling on a couple of other threads trying to rip off other people's designs. Skelly did not deserve the comments, especially because they are not accurate or appropriate. Those of us who know a thing or two see those comments as garbage, but others with less background might be put off a purchase.... and that is unfortunate.

We are so lucky that there are so many respectful, knowledgeable, honest people on this site. This is the reason Apexspeed is such a super resource. You can really believe almost all of what is said here.

    Thanks Tom
That is very true. I have had great experiance with everyone on this sight while i was selling off all my FC stuff this past year. I am glad Doug Carter does not tolerate any issues on this site.
Hope it is not to cold where your at.. I hate winter time..

    Default Christmas in Toronto

It is presently 41 degrees and dumping rain. Ceiling is 5 feet...so you can sorta see under the clouds as you drive. Sure would be a pain landing at our local airport....

Wet and miserable, but not yet cold. Two years ago I was well into my second month of skiing....not this year!! I'll be surprised if we see snow on the ground by new years.

Sean, I was glad to see that someone (finally!) saw the value in the diffuser. They work great and are a needed addition to all FC cars.

    All the best again!!
