I have thought and thought and cannot come up with a good name.
What if we black mail formula mazda for the mazda part of their name?
formula imprese
formula aziende
formula win money and hot chicks
Kind of a bit late to rally the name change, but I'll play.

My vote is for "formula win money and hot chicks" cant go wrong with this.
Better to have raced for a day...
than been a spectator for life!
Worked well for BNL. It's one way to get people to show up!My vote is for "formula win money and hot chicks" cant go wrong with this.

Please throw out any more, we'll present Enterprise with a list of all ideas. Hopefully a new moniker in 2012.
Rebadge the MZR as a Duratec and call it Formula Ford! I'm ducking into a foxhole now!

Formula D (Denver!) Fits in nicely after A, B, and C... and it's one better than E.

Silly me. Here I've been thinking for the past few years that "Formula Enterprise" sounded a hell of a lot better than "Formula Sports Car Club of America" like it used to be. So we've been FSCCA, FSC, and now FE. Look, I've got vinyl cut for FE on everything, my tricky "Pro FE" trailer stickers from SCCA Pro, and I guess The reason for changing the name again is completely escaping me.
Best regards,
Eric

Formula Enterprise is fine with me too.

OK, Eric Nimoy, you can call it what you like. As for you, pea gravel for brains, if you search you will learn that yours truly is the defending ARRC FE CHAMP with the track record for this event that may never be topped. Also, I have not driven off of the racing surface since the last time I raced.
How about FORMULA TREE HARVESTER F-TH in respect for Libby?
But seriously folks, I am bored and need to fill my time with something right?
Several trackside discussions indicated that FORMULA ENTERPRISES sounded like some sort of business, it didn't scream race car. Sponsorship for most of us means our retirement accounts. A catchy name probably will not change that. It might sound a little better to a possible event or series sponsor.
I totally agree with you about our past monikers. I personally simply call it FE when people ask about it. Then I jump into the details of the car. Of course, 75% of the people walking by only ask "How fast does it go?" I did meet two very interested possible Pro driverfor next season. One veteran racer, one fired up after "Skippy"

Eric's right, in that, FE is much better than FSCCA or FSC. But Tilden's also right, Formula Enterprise just isn't going to cut it marketing-wise. It doesn't sound like a racecar.
Maybe we can just stop referring to it as Formula Enterprise in marketing, publications, etc, and just leave it as "FE"? Does it need to stand for anything? I don't think we'd want to lose any existing name recognition we may have already, small or not.
Plus, the Viagra FE Championship sounds a lot better than the Viagra Formula Enterprise Championship for the over 40 club.
With all of Mazda's advertising, it would seem that a catchy name would be "Formula Enterprise Zoom," Formula EZ.

many many years ago there was a series called Formula Mondial.
Mondial essentially means "world" as in "copa de Mondial" which is Italian for "world Cup"
I always liked the way Mondial rolls off the tongue.
I heard some guys pronounce it "mon dial" as in "dial it in" but that is incorrect. As far as I know it is "mondeeall"

Ah, the overview program Motorsporst Mondial was my first introduction to F1 in the 1990s. That was a good show...
Ok. I will play. How's Formula Mazda 2. . . FM2. . still features Mazda and sounds cool?
-Phil Di Pippo
I think Tilden should change his name to something more professional.
Best regards,
Eric

For your information, Eric Nemoy, Tilden is an ancient european name that is translated as.... "One who is a Professonal and is also behind the wheel" ...if you can come up with something better, please beam me the data from the ENTERPRISE, just send it to Earth/care of Tilden.

PS-The weather forcast is calling for rain in the first qualifier, probably OK with spikes for the rest of the weekend.
Tilden \t(i)-lden, til-den\ as a boy's name is of Old English origin.
The name Tilden is an English baby name. In English the meaning of the name Tilden is: From the fertile valley. People with this name have a deep inner desire for travel and adventure, and want to set their own pace in life without being governed by tradition. People with this name tend to initiate events, to be leaders rather than followers, with powerful personalities. They tend to be focused on specific goals, experience a wealth of creative new ideas, and have the ability to implement these ideas with efficiency and determination. They tend to be courageous and sometimes aggressive. As unique, creative individuals, they tend to resent authority, and are sometimes stubborn, proud, and impatient.
I'm just adding this because the name website was within reach. I'm not saying it's right; and I'm not saying it's wrong. Though, I do think that Formula Tilden does have a certain panache to it. Similar to the panache of Formula Cruz.
Formula Nemoy just doesn't do it for me. Keep up the ideas Formula TK. We will be sure to "beam" them to you up there on the Mothership. However, take that aluminum foil antenna off your head before putting on the helmet.
(Tilden won the ARRC in FE in 2010. Holy cow! Way to go Tilden!)
Formula E - no meaning for 'E'

OK, enough suspense. I'm suspended already!!!

I didn't spend a lot of time going through this thread, but I kind of get the gist of it. All I can say is I hate it when we're referred to as a "Junior Formula".
Stay tuned!!! Big series newes on the way from Big E and others. Might even bring Shumitzmacher and Shawn Braun out of retirement,,,,,,,,,,

so right, brian
it is better than
"i work on vehicle dynamics"
-----blank stare
if you are going to get blank stares, let it be as a race car driver
maybe you need better lines
perhaps you should turn to pickup line panda for advice
.......how fast does it go?..........
blank stare
.... how fast does it go?....
I always answer "210"
(i just forget to say kilometers )
Yes, definitely better than vehicle dynamics... Typical vehicle dynamics pickup.
So what do you do?
I'm a vehicle dynamicist.
What's that?
Well I work on the ride and handling of a vehicle.
What's that?
*Blank Stare* From ME!!
I thought Pickup Line Panda was Sexual Harrassment Panda. I do need better lines though. Apparently staring them down and not saying anything isn't effective... Who knew!?!?
Oh well, maybe they'll transfer me to Europe, it might work better over there, and I hear American accents are sexy.
Since the class is all about the driver how about FDC "THE FORMULA DRIVERS CHAMPIONSHIP"
OR THE HOT CHICKS ONE...WHATEVER..
You might as well come join in the FE group, Steve. I promise you we have better food than anyone else at the track.
Thank you, Mark, for that lovely photo. T looks like he is trying out for Dancing with the Stars. He did, however, leave the water bottle out.
Jim, a quick word, please stop giving the "young guns" dating advice based on Pick up Panda. I swear you are going to get one of them slapped.
That was some fantastic racing this weekend. Wonderful to see so many new and returning faces. Welcome to Curt, a newbie from the FM crowd. Also, great to see not only Wally, but his grandson, Brandon. Watch out for him in the rain, he is a champion hydroplane racer! Eric, Patrick L. and Andrew, some wonderful passing and racing. Also, good to see Mark Eaton back in the car. The former runoffs champion was putting up some very hot laps.
Joel Janco was putting on an impressive show as well. After that disastrous Daytona weekend, it was lovely to see him back in stride.
We hope to see Chris L. back. Rotten luck for the first time out in the car.
As for Matt, GOOD JOB! Anyone who believed that you were just going to "hang back and have fun" was seriously delusional. Excellent driving!
Scott, Patrick and Jason were all entertaining, and fast, as usual. Lots of well-timed passes in 10A & 10B. We appreciated the show!
Kudos to Paul for keeping the last lap spin from collecting those behind him. It was an exciting finish and disappointing based on how well he had driven the race thus far. Very consistent!
We hope to see a large crowd coming back for the series next year. It sounds like some interesting news is coming soon!
MK
Thank you, Maggie for bringing some class to this group of uncouth miscreants. While we are on the subject of names, I would like to take credit for the origins of your screen name.
Also, it was good to see Tilden clear up the events of the ARRC (he was paying attention to bored spectators) on the other thread...when they told me on the radio I was chasing him down at over a second a lap, I mistakenly assumed he was watching the leaves change again. They are lovely in Atlanta this time of year.
Best regards,
Eric
