Default Whats the scoop? no scoops?

I was looking at the pictures from the "Round 4 2011 NSW State Championship" and noticed the cars do not have the typical air cooling scoops over/under the heads??? I only see a few small scoops in the body work, are you guys using the VW fan shrouds?

    Nice looking cars!!!!

    John,

In Australia, CAMS (SCCA in OZ) manadates the use of stock fans, pulleys and shrouds (as Jim stated). In 2003, CAMS would no longer homologate any new 1200 cc cars. This kicked off a whole new era in Australian FV. All the new cars since 2003 are basically FST's with 15" Dunlops and fans. The class has seen big growth since that point and has many new constructors building very nice looking cars.

Here is two photos. One is an Evolution FST that made it to Australia (where a fan was installed) and the other is the equivalent of a Regional event grid in New South Wales, Australia
