Re recent SPORTSCAR article on fuel cells. My DB-1 cell just turned 25 years and is holding its' own. Last took it apart 2 years ago and checked foam and inside and all looked good to me. I have always filled it with Avgas sometimes adding a half can of SeaFoam with good results but SPORTSCAR recommends storing dry. Anyone care to add their ideas?

I suppose anyone using a 25 year old fuel cell might raise some eyebrows. The fact that you are consciously monitoring it is a plus. Checking the fuel filter in the beginning of the season and mid-season would be a good idea. If it's not weeping and doesn't have an expiration date, that sounds like you're good to go. Fuel is a solvent. As long as it's in there it's slowly dissolving the cell. Store it dry. Great performance out of your cell though. Since it's in a swift, is it an ATS?

Anybody notice that in the Reno Air Show crash yesterday there was no fireball?
