    Default DB1 AFFF system recommendations

Can anyone recommend an AFFF system that fits well into a DB1? I need to source something ASAP as it looks like the Halon bottle I have is not charged.

    Thanks,
    Mike

Keith Averill should be able to confirm what AFFF system we put in my SE1 when we converted it to DSR. Was a real PITA (as I'm guessing you're finding) to find something suitable to fit between the frame rails. This was particularly aggravated by the fact that the car came with a perfectly suitable and still charged halon system... but so old as to have no SFI or FIA cert. So obviously it wasn't safe and needed to be replaced...

The one we found was good for length etc; only downside was the larger OD of the bottle. In the same location as the orig Halon bottle, it cut badly into the backside of my thighs. Instead, we moved it forward of that bulkhead, where the battery was (putting the battery behind), and I slide a little further forward in the seat putting my knees right above the bottle. Foot clearance is a little tight going in and out, but with race shoes on it's not a problem.

    Hope that helps...

Update: It's a Lifeline Zero 2000 system. Some cloudy pics of the install are here:

Thanks, that gives me a good idea where to start.
