Shock settings

Hi guys, I have penske triples and was wondering if anyone can help me on shock settings for Moroso.

Your question begets many more....what valving do you have? When were they last rebuilt and by whom? What springs do you have? What is the condition of the track; hot, cold, wet, dry....? You get the idea.

I have a suggestion: Joe Stimola is in Florida through the end of March (lives about 14 miles from Moroso); call him, hire him for a day, share him with others- he will do that. Have him check your shocks. You will learn more car setup in a day with him than you can on your own in a season or three. His cell phone is 516-978-0092 and its always with him.

Unless you have a data acquisition system with linear shock sensors, call Joe.

If you decide to go it on your own, then I suggest to error on the soft side. Most people will tend to increase dampening on an ill handling car because of the theory "more is better", which is usually the wrong direction.

But, if you have to have them rebuilt, I'd opt for someone else. Try Mark Mercer with Excelle Racing in Colorado. He is a step above the others, I promice.
