    Default FM and vintage racing

Inspired by hanging out at the RA Historic Challenge this weekend....Has the FM ever been homololiliogateded to be eligible for vintage/historic racing meets, however you go about that? I'm quite sure it's old enough. Wouldn't be a bad idea for more track time and a little fun if desired. There was a grouping there that included everything as little as FBMW to past Atlantic/Indy Lights to thundering '80s GTP cars. I'd even buy a scarf and tweed cap to hang out at the Ostoff afterward....

The ultimate insult to our beloved little race car. Some organization in Canada approved the FM for vintage competition......ugh!!! You know that ugly dog in the old neighborhood that could kick the crap out of most of those expensive pedigree dogs that others owned? That is what racing a FM is like ... you just have to love it

Don't sweat it D-Dub...the threshold for declaring a car vintage eligible must not be very high. There was a couple Swift .016 FAs out there, so everything older that that can be in. Ever wonder what kind of tow you could get into turn one from Geoff Brabham's Nissan GTP car? Besides it's a good place to break out my seersucker slacks and yellow argyle sweater vest when I'm not hitting the rural WI bars looking for a girlfriend...no takers surprisingly.

Rural Wi bars? Are you looking for a woman that can milk a cow? Not as comfortable as you think...I am told. On another note, are you guys going to Cat Nats? We are bringing 4 FMs with us. Two cherries that have been instructed to not hit the pretty white walls at RA. Man, anything less than a 100 degrees outside ROCKS!!!!!!

Four cars officially puts you into FM "Mogul" status, according to Moses' charts...absolutely we're in at the CAT...under 100deg? Right now the latest reports say it will be close.

Default Oh gosh thank you saying that Darryl

In terms of dollars spent per hp these cars are a total blast with great competition at the national and regional levels. Historic? Jee whiz no! :-)
