Blackhawk Farms National - May 13-15th

OK, Race Fans! Back at it again for 2011. We've had some additions to the region so lets see what the car count for FE will be like. Based on previous years, we should have at least 10 cars per typical National and the numbers are growing every year. Registry deadline is May 8th to avoid a late fee and Online Registration ends May 10th. Should be a great and highly competitive season!!! With the addition of the new tire setup and some simple additions to the spec, expect track records to drop.

On another, related note: what are the CenDiv FE guys collectively thinking about Memorial Day weekend - Brainerd, Grattan, or sitting at home watching the coverage of Danica running mid-pack at Indy?

I'll be registering once it gets closer to the event. Need to let the credit cards cool off a bit until the tax money comes in.

I am waiting for the racing check book to say its ok to register but I plan on being at Blackhawk. As far as memorial day Brainard is in our championship points so that is on my schedule. Although Grattan has nice new pavement. I have not been to Grattan in a long time but it was a great track except for the bumps and bottoming out the car.

OK, with a little over a week to go before getting slapped with a late fee, we've got 5. With Leeman out until mid season, we should have at least 9 total. Make it 10 if Ken Martin is running too.

Looking good, guys! We've got 9 so far which is extremely respectable coming down to the wire for a late fee registration putting us at having the second most formula cars per group by only one entry.

Looks like it'll be messy on Friday. Saturday and Sunday look to have scattered pockets, but it's still too early to tell. I won't become concerned for a few more days yet.
