Jan 21, 2011 - The F1000 Pro Series announces that Goodyear Racing Tires, Williams Racing Development, and George Dean Racing Engines will be title sponsors of the 2011 F1000 Pro Series.
The F1000 Pro Series is pleased to announce the return of Goodyear Racing Tires for a second season as well as welcome new title sponsors Williams Racing Development and George Dean Engines to the F1000 Pro Series. Goodyear Racing Tires is a provider of high-performance tires for all types of racing applications. Williams Racing Development (WRD), specializes in transmission servicing and other racing services. WRD supplies driveline components from several manufacturers; Hewland, Tilton, GKN and Joe Gibbs Driven. George Dean Racing Engines provides performance services principally for motorcycle engines used in four wheel racing applications.
The series would also like to welcome back Jongbloed Racing Wheels as a partner sponsor alongside our new partnering sponsors Elisabeth Jackson Motorsports Artwork & Designs, and Geartronics.
The F1000 Pro Series cars are purpose-built high-performance Formula 1000 race cars and Formula 2000 converted race cars powered by 1000cc motorcycle engines, with top speeds in excess of 150 MPH. The F1000 Pro Series consists of 10 SCCA sanctioned National championship races at five venues over the course of the 2011 season. Racers will compete for championship points based on in-class finishing positions, with a separate start lineup at all SCCA national events where the series will compete.
The F1000 Pro Series which is currently supported by nine F1000 manufacturers, is planning several new upgrades for 2011 including improved press media which will include expanded series press coverage with additional news outlets, increased photography, webcasts of race events, extensive race reporting, an enchanced website, and on-line videos of all series events. In addition, series marketing and media kits will be provided to all registered competitors.
New series changes include that all series entry fees for drivers will be waived for 2011. Drivers can register at no cost and be fully eligible for all prizes and contingency awards presented by the series.
Providing technical advisement for the F1000 Pro-Series for a second season will be George Dean of George Dean Racing Engines based out of Seattle, Washington. The F1000 pro Series will kick off its 2011 10-race season at Thunderhill Raceway, Willows, California on March 26-27, 2011 with the season finale at Miller Motorsports Park, Tooele, Utah on August 6-7, 2011.
