    Does anyone know how they measure the track Length, is it the centre of the track?.

    Sel, I believe the length of the track is determined by the racing line, but I am not totally positive.

    SORRY for the long delay in responding to this question. Took a little research too.

    For what it's worth, NASCAR measures ovals 10 feet in from the outer wall all the way around.

    HOWEVER:
    There is an "International Standard" for road race track measurement. It is:

    You measure the distance around the circumference of the inside. Then, measure around the circumference of the outside. Divide the sum of those two numbers by two and that gives you the officially recognized length of the race track.

    Isn't this the same as measuring down the middle? Well sort of. If your measurement looks like a spline curve to allow for variations in track width.

    One might assume the SCCA and other U.S. sanctioning body's follow this procedure.
