I found it to be a bigger pain getting equal chain tension with the splits than it was removing the axle to put a regular sprocket on. Just fyi...

Default Splits are a must have on RFR

Sean, the RFR houses it's diff w/i a framework, so the splits are a must.

The sprocket is held on w/ 8 fasteners, unlike most others' use of 6 fasteners, so that is another difference there also.

Nicho have you tried McLaughlin? That's where I get mine from.

While your at it I would also reccomend getting n
Your differential bolts machined down a couple thou to fit the proper diameter of the sprocket holes. When I remember who makes the gears I'll let you know, pretty sure they are straight off the shelf.

    You can also contact:

    www.sprocketspecialists.com

They specialize in custom made sprockets as on the Phoenix F1000 and they also have split sprockets. I have used their products with no reported problems and excellent customer service.

You can also send them one of the RFR spockets and they will duplicate it for you.
