    Default New Wheel Recommendations

I am planning to purchase a new set of wheels for my Ralt RT-1 Super Vee (center-lock, pin drive). The Carroll Smith advice was for Jongbloed, but that was 25 years ago. I would appreciate recommendations on brands to consider. Is Jongbloed still at or near the top of the list (recognizing that the firm was sold and has moved several times)? Who else should be considered? Any firms to particularly avoid? Thanks for your input! Earl Zwickey

How about BBS? I think they may have even been the official wheel for the series.

    Default Super Vee wheels

I also have a Ralt RT-1 Super Vee (#140) and there were never many options when it came to wheels. The frt's were the same for the RT-1 and RT-5, but not the rears. I think the two names you have been given are your only rear options.

Not sure of the exact configuration of the rear brakes on the SV. The atlantic RT-1 rears are very unique (I have two for sale if anyone is interested) due to the rear caliper placement. Standard Ralt wheels won't fit. You can also try Kodiak Wheels. Experiences with them range from excellent to poor. They will be cheaper and produce a good product.

    Default RT-1 wheels

    Charles,
The RT-1 Super Vee had inboard rear brakes.
Not a fan of Kodiak wheels.

Thanks Keith. Wasn't sure about that configuration. Never had any complaint about the quality of Kodiak - had several sets. Customer service has often been less than desirable. BTW, package should be arriving any day.
