has anyone heard if the new replacement Kent blocks from Ford will be patterned on the 711M block, the 771M block, or some combination??

Art,
You can check with Jay Ivey, but I think remembering him say they are based on the 711M for the vintage guys. The blocks should be better due to advances in metal tech and the tweeks Jay is adding, so should they bear a weight penalty? Based on CRB renderings, I think they should have at least 100 lbs added. They can always reduce the ballast if it proves to be to much. We dont want to disenfranchise any of the existing kent owners.

John-
thanks for your helpful reply; let's hope you too don't inspire a reaction from the
"disingenuous police". as an articlulate former FF Champion (a good thing) far more likely to hear than a retired engineer in California, do you know if Ford will be offering a
contingency program to competitors that upgrade to their new blocks??

...yeah, I heard Ford will double what they paid last year!
