    Default Are you looking around?

I’ll be telling you more about our Hoosier Tire Formula First series as things begin to gel and sponsorship offers are finalized. Before that, if you are sitting on the fence anticipating another dead end regional series or pondering the fun you’ll have in a 70 car runoffs field, think about Formula First. If you are close to the NE Central and Great Lakes Divisions we have a real series with better sponsors and better contingencies than practically anywhere. We are planning a western and a southeast series too.

    Here are some advantages

    Large drivers can be competitive
    Spec Manifold costs $49.95
One transmission with no gear changes
    A proven reliable power plant.
Current engine costs under $5000 for all brand new parts. The majority of engines are priced around $4000. Backyard guys can do an engine for 2K.
Spec tires last a whole season (about 25 heat cycles)
Right now there are four cars available and at least 4 kits available for immediate sale. Complete used cars are for sales and are priced from 10,000 to 15,000. Three of these cars are proven cars with bona fide top 5 potential.

D'oh! Hey Bob - I was just at the Formula First Facebook page (actaully I posted a question for you)- are you active on that? Just curious.

The question was - how many "dues paid Members" does the FFDA have at this point?

    Bob

Regarding Facebook—I’m too old for social networking ---all I’m trying to do is get someone who isn’t a car salesman or a real estate agent to return my calls. Bob I don’t want to share what’s on your Ipod either.

Thanks for bringing up the dues part of the FFDA--- right now we are oozing toward a dozen paid members but recently a few people have noted that they never got to page two of the Hoosier Tire Series announcement which covered the dues. So I’m thinking your question is timely.

At this point in time no member of the board has paid their dues—not even me and both drivers who drive for RGU Racing are tardy. So guys ---send checks payable to the FFDA for $25 for your 2010 dues. I treat your money like its mine!!
