    Default 2008 gsxr 1000 oil sneder/oil temp

I have a 2008 gsxr 1000 where do you get your oil pressure from( location on engine) and where do you put the oil temp sensor? On a WF1 Stohr I purchased a car less data system.

    Thank you

Thanks Mike Ive already talked to Gary. I was wondering where it went on the engine both the oil temp sender and the pressure feed hose.

I recommend the main oil gallery feed below and aft of the stator cover on drivers left. There's an M14x1.5 plug there. With the remote kit I sell you can then pad the pressure sensor which makes them live a vibration free life.

As for oil temp I recommend out of the cooler. We installed a 1/8NPT female fitting welded to the cooler and sample it there.

    Re: oil temp sensor location:

Disclaimer: My system has the oil cooler after the scavenge pump, and before the oil tank, so these thoughts may not pertain to your system.

I tried to determine if it was better to sense the oil temp before or after the cooler. There are valid pros to both. I really wanted to know the highest temperature the oil reaches (because I think that's what we're really concerned about), but I also wanted to know how well my cooling set up was working (and the temp of oil going into the engine).

Therefore, I settled on two sensors, which provides a delta. On my AIM dash, T1 is water, T2 is oil coming out of the engine and T3 is in the bottom of the remote dry sump tank. It's kinda neat seeing the temps before and after the cooler.
