Any Sebring results? Surely someone was there.
Any Sebring results? Surely someone was there.
I was there. Unfortunately, I left the results sheet on the kitchen counter on my rush to return to the real world this morning. I'll post it tomorrow if no one else beats me to it.
Some color commentary...
Thursday it got colder and colder all day. The crashing began in ernest.
Friday was miserably cold. The crashing continued at a high rate.
Saturday was actually sort of nice weather wise. A crowded track for practice and qualifying. 27 FCs and 14 FAs. The line continued to que up for parts at the Primus trailer as crashing continued. Panoz had a large dumpster moved over close to the Primus trailer.
On Sunday morning at 8 am almost everybody went out on the hardship warmup. They came off the track and then it rained, and rained. Around noon it stopped. All cars sat jacked up with 8 tires laying around them... waiting. It got drier. All the leaders went out on dry tires and it stayed dry for the race. The crashing continued. Our FC heros outdid the SRFs, making a regional IT race look like a garden party.
Of our usual contributers, I know that Defer had a DNF with mechanical woes. Bragg finished 10th. I think Aiken was 13th.
Details later...
Great commentary! The actual results will now be an anti climax, which reminds me of last night, but that's a different subject. Thanks.
I was going to report on a rumor that Mark had a slight brain fade on Friday.
But, after a set of tires that finished 5th at the runoffs showed up mysteriously in my paddock space Saturday morning, I must report that a S2 savagely and with malice intent drove out of it's way to crash hard into poor Mark.
Was it Tom that originally called me a tire whore? Free tires will not buy this reporter's integrity.
Now about George... thats another story.

Msr. Frog, I would NEVER call you a tire whore. Whores get paid.
No, I think you're more of a tire slut.
You know you're old when all your driving heros are collecting Social Security...
If the tire fits, race it...
OBTW, on Thursday and Friday there were 3 Zetecs running. They were lapping in the same range as the FAs (Oliver, French, et al). One already had 1500 miles on the motor.
