Ok, it was tough to be watching and not driving.
Steve Myers is the well deserving ARRC CFC champion for 2009.
He will chime in some time in the future to tell all you CFC guys what a great event you are missing if you don't drag your old iron down to Road Atlanta in november.
A Reynard again claims the CFC National Championship.

Congratulations to Steve and Paul - couple of veteran war dogs from Waterford Hills. Dragged their cars down (about 1000 mi.) on open trailers with a borrowed tow vehicle (Steve) and had to learn the track on Friday. We helped Steve secure his wing with a ratchet strap for the race, and I guess it worked fine... Did Steve get the track record? He was under it in qualifying.
Way to go guys, Clark
Froggie,
Would the number 5 car be a certain Citation that would be on it's third owner. Namely the ex DW and Ken Johnson 88?
...'dats the one. We loved the colors so much we couldn't bare to change.... Good car--much better than the driver!
The old girl still looks good for a car with about a million miles on it!
How's it been running since you picked it up?
The 'old girl' is actually getting fun to drive. We're not moving mountains but we were pleased to get within 3 tenths of Ardie's time during the race--at least we did one good lap.
Richard if it's OK I'd like to email you (or call) to pick your brain...
This is a great event! Had a lot of fun and met some great people. And the track is a blast to drive. Definitely worth the trip. Got to thank Arnie, Mike and Clark for the help fixing the rear wing.
Frog is right. All you CFC guys who have cars sitting in your garages are missing out on a great time.
