The 2009 racing season is already winding down and the NASA Championships, SCCA National Championship Runoffs and the SCCA Solo National Championships are just around the corner. Two of these year-end championship events are at new venues so there a some new things happening. We also want you to benefit from the support Mazda has in place to make your participation rewarding and enjoyable. Please read the information below carefully.

MAZDASPEED Motorsports Development is also posting substantial contingency awards for all three year-end championship events. Please read the contingency information listed in a separate section below for information on properly claiming your Mazda Contingency Awards for these and other events.



SCCA National Championship Runoffs
If you plan to attend the 2009 SCCA Runoffs please click the link to go to MAZDASPEED Motorsports Development and download the PDF (SCCA Runoffs letter and reply form) under 2009 SCCA National Championship Runoffs. Please be sure to complete and return the reply form to us no later than Thursday, September 10th if you will be participating in the 2009 SCCA National Runoffs.

Parts Trailer: The MAZDASPEED Motorsports Development Parts Trailer will be at the SCCA Runoffs. Tim Buck and James Painter will be present to assist with your parts and technical needs. We will have a selection of emergency parts on the trailer but please order your spare parts now to ensure you have the parts you need for the event. Also, be sure your credit card number and expiration date are updated in the account profile section at our website. Parts you request from James or Tim at the race will be billed to your card within a few weeks after the event.



NASA Championships
Did you know Mazda is offering a total of $8,750 in contingency per class at the NASA Championships (except TT classes)? In addition, Regional Championship drivers in the top 3 in class points are eligible for an additonal $200 in contingency if they enter and race in the NASA Championships. That's over and above the NASA Year-End Regional Championship points contingency payout ($2,650 total per class). There is still time to enter the NASA Championship event. If you haven't seen the facilities at Miller, they're first class.

Parts Trailer: The MAZDASPEED Motorsports Development Parts Trailer will be at the NASA Championships. James Painter will be there to assist you if you need to purchase or order Mazda parts for overnight delivery. We will have a selection of parts on the trailer but please plan ahead and bring your own necessary spares. Parts you request or order will be charged to your credit card after the event. Please be sure to update your credit card and expiration date information in your account profile at our website. Parts you receive from James at the race will be billed to your card within a few weeks after the event.




Mazda Contingency Awards
Remember that your Mazda Contingency Award request forms must be received within 45 days following the event. Mazda Contingency Program rules, the contingency request form and a W-9 tax form can be downloaded at our website www.MazdaspeedDevelopment.com or www.MazdaMotorsports.com.

All contingency requests for 2009 events, points championships, etc. must be received by November 30th. Also, please remember that your first request each year must be accompanied by a quality photo of your racecar showing placement of the Mazda decals and a W-9 tax form.

Mazda contingency awards are now paid in the form of a credit or debit type of card - called the Mazda Rewards Card. A Mazda Reward Card is mailed to you the first time you earn contingency award funds. Thereafter, your contingency funds will be electronically applied to the card. Once the full account balance on your card is depleted please hold on to the card - do not throw it away as the same card will be used for future payments.

Your contingency award payment should be processed in 6-8 weeks. It may take less time if funds are being applied to your card electronically vs. waiting for you Mazda Rewards top arrive by mail.
